GOED

A headless commerce platform for GOED, bringing 120,000 healthcare products online with membership, payment, identity and content integrations for scalable omnichannel retail.

GOED

Goed is the largest healthcare retailer in Flanders, with 90 pharmacies, 60 hearing centers, and 50 home care stores. As part of CM, Belgium’s largest health insurance fund with 4.5 million members, Goed offers a wide range of medicines and medical supplies. To make 120,000 products available online securely and efficiently, Goed required a renewed e-commerce platform that is flexible, user-friendly, and future-proof.

A scalable e-commerce platform for seamless integrations

We developed a robust and scalable e-commerce platform tailored to Goed’s needs:

  • Headless architecture: Commercetools as the e-commerce platform and Contentful as the headless CMS, integrated via a GraphQL API.
  • Event-driven integration: An event-based integration layer ensures seamless communication between backend systems and the front-end.
  • Phased implementation: Starting with one category, the full product range was rolled out in phases and made omnichannel accessible.

Enhanced service and growth with a user-friendly platform

The new platform enables Goed to serve both members and healthcare providers with an optimal, user-friendly, and secure online experience. The scalable solution handles complex pricing structures and seamlessly integrates with external services, such as payment gateways and insurance authentication.
